A couple of months ago I stumbled upon semi-rad.com.  Semi-rad.com is a website that showcases the work of writer Brendan Leonard and in his words, "The relentless pursuit of the everyman's (and everywoman's) adventure." This was the first story I read on his site and have now re-read it again and again. Anyone who has ever been on a road trip knows exactly what Brendan is talking about in this piece. Brendan was kind enough to let us repost some of his work here on GearGenius.com. Take a couple of minutes to read what I consider some inspired writing.

With Interbike being held just recently in Las Vegas, the cutting edge of the cycling industry was on display.  Rex Marin might not be cutting edge but his unique bike designs will definitey make you look twice.

Danny MacAskill became an overnight bicycle sensation after his roommate filmed an edited a video of him entitled Inspired Bicycles.  Within a weekend the video had over 5 million views and the world's cycling community was introduced to MacAskill's skills.  Lance Armstrong even tweeted about the video calling it "an absolute must watch".

Bike lanes generally are a good thing. They help keep cyclists and motorist safe by keeping them apart. They also help to encourage cycling by making it safer. It seems though that in New York they've become more of a boundary.
