The great thing about sports like skiing, snowboarding, and surfing is that they're not just sports. Their activities that become a part of you and in some way end up defining you. They have influence over just about every part of your life. Where you live. Your job. Who you married. If you are married? What college you went to. If you went to college.
But what happens when the activity that defines you, is taken away from you? Many would be angry. Some would be bitter. Others would do what ever it takes to get back to doing what they love. Those are the few who inspire us and remind us to never take for granted the opportunities we have to do what we love.
