New to producing splitboards is about the only thing K2 is new at. With many good experiences on other K2 snowboards we didn't hesitate at the chance to add it to the quiver.
Some folks are hesitant to get into the realm of splitboarding when they see the price tag on factory splitboards and necessary components. This is understandable, and where K2 really excels with the Panoramic. At $900 the Panoramic includes Voile interface and K2 skins; several hundred dollars below other similarly equipped factory splits. Don't let the small price tag fool you though, K2 uses their Bambooyah Blend core (2-year warranty) for increased strength and durability and carbon web stringers for extra pop. All-Terrain-Rocker combines a flat profile from the center of the board to the outside of the bindings with a rockered nose and tail for maximum stability and float. Add in the slightly tapered shape and 1” setback stance and you’re ready for some deep days.
K2 didn’t cut any corners on the Panoramic as is evidenced by the proprietary K2 skins. They are pre-trimmed and equipped with tip and tail clips to keep them attached to the base now matter what lap you're on or how cold it is. While most splitboard manufacturers have chosen neutral graphics to adorn their boards, K2 got creative and designed a killer graphic to look at on those summit lunch breaks.
