What was once a company that just made surf accessories, Dakine is now all over the map. Gloves, backpacks for every type of action and board sport, mountain bike protection and accessories, apparel and now outerwear. Yup, for the 2012-2013 Dakine will be releasing a line of men's and women's outerwear. The line will consist of nine jackets and 5 pants for men and six jackets and three pants for women.
Like all of Dakine's products expect their new line to focus on fit and performance while maintaining a great value. We're pretty sure it will look as good as it performs too.
As for pro athlete endorsements, the only rumor we have heard thus far is that long time Dakine athlete Eric Pollard will be sporting the new outerwear next season.
They will be showcasing all the entire line at all the upcoming trade shows. We'll keep you posted as we hear and see more
UPDATE: Eric Pollard will NOT be joining the Dakine clothing team but instead we've heard his close friend and Nimbus Independent cohort Chris Benchetler will be on the team.
