What Size of Armada El Reys Should I Get?

I am looking at getting a new pair of skis for the winter and I'm wondering what size I would need. I'm looking at a pair of Armada El Reys. I'm guessing I'd need a size 171 or 178 but I'm looking for a bit of advice on what size would be best. I'm 5'10" and weigh 150 pounds. I ski a lot in the park and will be skiing a considerable amount of backcountry this season as well. Lemme know what you think. Thanks a lot!

Hey, thanks for checking out the site.  Sorry about the delay getting back to you, I'm out of town for a couple of days.  You've got a good question.  I'm even on the fence a bit on this one.  So this is what I'd do.  If you plan on spending a fair about of time in the backcountry, whether it's pow or just booters, I'd go with the 178cm. If you're gonna spend MOST (that means close to all your time) of your time in the park, go with the 171cm.  It sounds like you're headed into the backcountry so I'd say go with the 178cm.  For your height and weight I think you could go either way, so the determining factor should be how much time you're going to spend in each place.

Thanks for the questions and good luck with the decision.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Take it easy.  Pray for snow.

Thanks a lot for the advice, it really helps a lot!  It was kinda the direction I thought I'd have to go, but I appreciate someone else's opinion.  Thanks again!
